Should I Attend My Atheist Daughters Wedding?

Posted: March 17, 2014 in Uncategorized

Russell Moore is the president of the Ethics of Religious Liberty Commission for the Southern Baptist Convention. That’s a big title that essentially means he is leading the charge for Southern Baptists in engaging the culture with the gospel and helping churches think through social issues. I had the privilege of having him as a professor in a Christian Ethics class back in 2010. In this article he answers the question, “Should I attend my atheist daughters wedding?” In answering he not only gives helpful ideas and clarifications, but also helps parents think through relating to their children who are rebelling against God and remembering that rebellion against God is not necessarily a result of not faithfully and biblically parenting your children.
